Fonts on social media cause problems for people who use screen readers, as the letters do not read as regular text, and instead become disorientating and confusing, often taking up a lot of time to read out the information stored in each character. This can be super annoying!!

Tommy Shepherd (AKA Thomas, alias 'Speed') is a speedster first introduced to the Young Avengers comics in 2006.
He is well-known for being one of the soul-twins of the Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff), along with Billy Kaplan-Altman.
Tommy and Billy were raised in different families, Tommy in New Jersey with Mary and Frank (who were seemingly not good parents to him).
After his powers came in, he managed to blow up his school, he was sent to super juvie, where he was subject to traumatic experiments.The Young Avengers found him through the fail-safe program in the synthezoid Jonas, and broke him out of juvie to save Teddy.
After this mission was complete, he was given a superhero suit and a new name: Speed. His suit is skin-tight and dark green, with chrome panels down the sides and yellow tinted goggles.He has always been passionate about doing the most to help people, even when he's doing all he can already, and when the Young Avengers went their separate ways after Children's Crusade, Tommy was the only one fighting for them to stay together.He appears in Young Avengers volume 2, working in a warehouse building tech devices at superspeed, where he meets David Alleyne (Prodigy). They investigate some break-ins and Tommy gets taken by the Patrinot, so David joins the YA to help find him.Tommy then appears many years later briefly, in X-Factor, shown making out with David, and at Billy and Teddy's weddings.
He also appears in the 2021 pride comic, in a story exploring David's bisexuality, and also appears in Trial of Magneto.Most recently, he has had his own issue of Paradox Lost, the YA Infinity Comic on Marvel Unlimited, where it is revealed he has been living with Master Pandemonium, where they help each other out. He also works as a fast food delivery 'driver'. This recent series has hinted at Billy's demiurge fate and Tommy being involved in it somehow, perhaps sharing the role, or having equal power levels. (Tommy's powers often get forgotten, and are largely unexplored other than juvie experiments. It is likely he can do more than we think.)
Tommy's powers:
Superspeed (not the fastest speedster, but naturally faster than his uncle Quicksilver)
Phasing through walls/items (he can also take people with him, although it tends to make them sick)
Molecule acceleration (controlling the speed of molecules from a distance, creating an explosion)
